Kimberly Simpson is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and Maxim's de Paris Culinary School. She has also completed the College Counseling Certification Program at the University of California, Los Angeles and The Birkman Method Certification Program. She has served on numerous public and private high school committees and task forces, focusing in the area of college and career planning. Additionally, she has been invited to give presentations on the admissions process to a variety of public and private high schools and organizations in the metro-New Orleans and Northshore areas.
Recognizing a need to assist underrepresented, low income students in the college admissions process, Kimberly decided to create Collegiate Capstones, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which offers pro bono college consulting services to students at Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies and other regional students.
Kimberly is a contributor to The Princeton Review's The Best 368 Colleges-2009 Edition, The Best 371 Colleges-2010 Edition, and other upcoming publications. She is a current member of The Princeton Review National College Counselor Advisory Board, a sustainer member of the Junior League of Greater Covington, a member of the St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce, and a graduate of Leadership St. Tammany.
Wendi W. Majeau graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and a minor in Journalism. She earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New Orleans with an advanced degree as a Reading Specialist. After earning a certification as a Gifted Education Specialist from UNO, Wendi was selected to join the faculty of Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies in Metairie, LA.
In addition to being a teacher of gifted students, Wendi has served as the middle school director in private and parochial schools in the greater New Orleans area. She has served on numerous planning committees for curriculum development and computer literacy, and was instrumental in organizing the first Haynes Academy Key Club.
Wendi’s daughter, Renee, attends the University of Mississippi and is pursuing the study of Forensic Chemistry. Her son, Trey, attends Southeastern Louisiana University where he is pursuing a degree in the Allied Health field. Wendi resides in Metairie, Louisiana with her family.
